Jim Simpson, CPA
Treasurer


Jim is a professor of Computer Information Systems and Business at Scottsdale Community College. He has taught in the MCCD system since 1998. Prior to that he was a CPA in his own firm, as well as McGladrey & Pullen, CPAs and Toback, CPAs. He also has experience as an International Sales Rep for BF Goodrich Aerospace in Latin America.

Jim was awarded a B.S. in Marketing from ASU in 1987. In 1992 he received a Masters in Taxation from ASU, and he is now two classes away from receiving a B.A. in Spanish, also from ASU. Jim is currently working on his dissertation to receive a Ph.D in Education from Walden University.

In his spare time, you can find Jim singing and playing guitar in local coffeehouses.

Regi Munro, Ph.D., ACSM-HFI, CSCS
Director


Dr. Regi Munro graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and a Biology minor. She went on to Arizona State University and earned a Masters of Science in Exercise Science in 1991, where her research focus was on knowledge, attitude, and behavior of anabolic steroid users. She continued her education at Arizona State University and in 1996 completed a doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Exercise and Wellness. She focused her doctoral research on physical self-perception and physical activity in HIV infected individuals. Today, Dr. Munro is the Chair of the Wellness Division at Chandler-Gilbert Community College in Chandler, Arizona where she teaches Human Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology, Kinesiology, and various Movement Analysis courses.

Athletics Biography

Dr. Regi Munro played soccer for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Women’s Soccer Club from 1985-1989, and also participated in several intramural sports.  She continued to play soccer throughout graduate school, and a few years later from 2001-2003 she played full contact football in the Women’s Professional Football League for the Arizona Knighthawks. She now plays ice hockey in a women’s recreational league, and is active in dog obedience and agility with her dogs.
